Short answer
Get the app
The app runs on iOS 13 and later and on Android. Your administrator publishes the store links for this Akili instance; when none are listed below, ask your administrator for the build. It uses the microphone for voice mode and the camera when you add a file from the Library, Knowledge or Publish screens; it asks for each permission the first time.
Get the Akili app
Your chats, agents, flows and knowledge on iOS and Android, with voice mode and drafts that wait for a connection.
- Step 1
Pick a method
The app offers whatever your Akili instance enables: password, magic link, Google, Microsoft, GitHub and Apple. If your organization enforces SSO, enter your work email and the app continues in the browser and returns through a secure link. - Step 2
Complete two-factor
If two-factor is on, enter a code from your authenticator app, an SMS code or a backup code. Passkeys are not offered on mobile. - Step 3
Stay signed in
The session stays on the device. Review it, and every other session, under Settings, Account security, where you can also sign out everywhere.
What the app covers
| Area | On the phone |
|---|---|
| Chat | Full: history, model, knowledge, web search and thinking chips, voice mode, message actions (copy, edit, regenerate, rate, branch, share). |
| Agents | Read-only: open an agent, read its configuration and skills, start a chat with it. |
| Council | Read-only: council verdicts appear as tabs inside chat replies; there is no council screen. |
| Flows | List with health, triggers and last run; run history with a read-only run detail; approve, reject or request changes on approvals. |
| Knowledge | List and create knowledge bases; per-base screen with health, documents, upload and search. |
| Library | Files with type filters, collections, upload with the duplicate check, add to a knowledge base. |
| Projects | List and create; overview, notes, chats, settings and delete. |
| Maps | A map opens from a places card in chat; there is no standalone maps screen. |
| Marketplace | Browse, search, featured and categories; enroll, edit a listing, creator account, appeals and dashboard. |

| Studio | Create content, browse templates and view documents. |

Chat and voice
The composer has the same chips as the web: pick a model, select knowledge bases, toggle web search and thinking. Tap the microphone to enter voice mode: your speech is transcribed, the reply is spoken back, and the conversation continues hands-free until you leave the screen. Council replies show their verdicts as tabs inside the answer, and a places card in a reply opens a map.
Offline drafts
The app caches your chat list, profile, model list and recent messages, so they open without a connection, and a banner tells you when you are offline. A message you send while offline is saved as a queued draft, marked in the chat, and sent automatically when connectivity returns.
Languages
The app ships translations for the same ten languages as the web: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish and Swahili, following the device language. Translation is rolling out screen by screen; the publishing screens are translated today and the rest still show English.
Good to know
What stays on the web
- Checkout and plan changes. Billing is read-only on the phone and links to the Stripe portal or the web app.
- Connecting a publishing channel. Channels can be reviewed and disconnected on the phone; connecting one happens on the web.
- Data export and account deletion. The privacy screen hands both off to the web app.
- Editing agents and skills. The phone shows them; the builder is web only. See Agents.
- Project files, links and sharing. The project screen covers overview, notes, chats and settings.
Security on the device
- Step-up confirmation. Sensitive changes under Account security ask you to confirm with a fresh factor.
- No app lock. The app does not add a PIN or biometric lock of its own; rely on the device lock.
- Trusted devices. Account security lists trusted devices and sessions, the same list the web shows, and lets you revoke any of them.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I download the app?
The store links your administrator publishes appear at the top of this page and under Settings, General in the web app. If none are listed yet, ask your administrator for the build; they distribute it for iOS (13 or later) and Android.
Can I attach a file or a photo in a mobile chat?
Not yet. The attachment button in the composer is a placeholder. You can add files to the Library and knowledge bases from the phone, including from the camera, and ground a chat in a knowledge base instead.
Can I sign in with a passkey on the phone?
No. Passkeys are web only. The app signs in with a password, a magic link, Google, Microsoft, GitHub or Apple, and with your organization’s SSO through the browser; two-factor codes work in all cases.
Does the app send push notifications?
No. The notification switches in general settings are preferences that the web app and email honor; the mobile app has no push service.
Can I upgrade my plan from the app?
Billing on the phone is read-only. It shows your plan, your trial end date when you are on a trial, and hands off to the Stripe portal or the web app for changes.
