Prerequisites
- An Akili account (sign up at your organization's Akili instance or request access from your administrator)
- Node.js 22 LTS installed locally
- Basic familiarity with JSON and REST APIs
Step 1 — Create a developer profile
- 1Sign in to Akili and open Settings → Organization. Create or join an organization if you haven't already.
- 2Go to Marketplace → Dashboard. Click "Set up publisher profile" and enter your handle and bio.
- 3Your publisher profile is now live. You can publish agents, integrations, and knowledge packs under this profile.
Step 2 — Create your first agent
- 1From the sidebar, click Agents → New agent.
- 2Give your agent a name, description, and system prompt. The system prompt controls the agent's personality and behavior.
- 3Optionally attach knowledge bases (uploaded documents or URLs) so the agent can answer questions about specific content.
- 4Set visibility to "Private" while you're building, then switch to "Anyone" when ready to share.
Step 3 — Test your agent
- 1Click the agent's name to open its chat interface.
- 2Send test messages to verify the agent responds as intended.
- 3Adjust the system prompt and model preferences until the behavior meets your expectations.
- 4Use the Conversation branching feature to explore different response paths without losing context.
Step 4 — Publish to the marketplace
- 1From the agent detail page, click "Publish to marketplace".
- 2Fill in the listing details: title, long description, category, tags, and screenshots.
- 3Set pricing: Free, one-time purchase, or monthly subscription.
- 4Submit for review. Automated checks run immediately; manual review completes within 1 business day.
- 5Once approved, your agent appears in the Akili marketplace and users can install it.
