How Akili uses text messages, and how to stop them.

Program description

What we text

Akili sends text messages for one purpose: delivering a one-time passcode when you enable or use two-factor authentication, verify your mobile number, or reset your password by phone. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

How you opt in

You opt in by entering your mobile number under Settings → Account & security → Two-factor authentication and ticking the consent box. The box is unchecked by default and is separate from accepting our Terms & Conditions.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies — one message per sign-in, enrollment or password-reset attempt.

Rates, opt-out and help

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan.

Opt out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or remove your number under Settings → Account & security. After opting out you will not receive further texts unless you enrol again.

Carriers and privacy

Carrier liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number

Mobile numbers collected for authentication are used only to deliver one-time passcodes and are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
